Royal Wootton Bassett Brass Band

The Royal Wootton Bassett Brass Band was formed in 1980. It is a traditional brass band with amateur players of all ages and abilities.

The band performs at fetes, charity events, in local parks and at various events in Royal Wootton Bassett and North Wiltshire.

Originally known as Wootton Bassett Brass, the band played at the ceremony when the town was awarded its Royal Charter by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 and presented to the town by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne the Princess Royal in 2011.

Subsequently permission was granted by the Cabinet Office for the band to assume the title Royal and the Town Council to use the town coat of arms.

The band is a friendly and welcoming group; we are always glad to see new members.

Rehearsals take place in the United Reformed Church Hall in Wood Street Royal Wotton Bassett at 8pm on Wednesdays.
